Hakonechloa macra 'Albovariegata'
WD 70cm x 1m. Japanese temple grass. This is the lightly variegated form that grows slightly larger and more vigorously than either the green species or golden (Aureola) cultivars. The leaves are green with a fine, pale variegation that make an outstanding, flowing mound from spring through to late winter with the bonus of fantastic flowering seed heads in mid to late summer and gorgeous subtle autumn tones. It is a versatile plant that associates well with a wide range of plants in different garden styles and in differing environmental conditions.
